Once the water starts to boil, you can turn the heat down a bit. Putting a cover on the pod will improve cooking time. I generally start doing some thing else and check back in about like 8 minutes. I then take out a larger piece and cut it open to see if it is cooked inside. If I don’t see anything red, it is done.
If the wings do not taste tender, you probably boiled them for too long on high temperature.
To spice up the chicken wings, I add a couple spoons full of Chinese hot pepper oil and some scallion. I got them in an Asian market. You can add anything you like. You can add more or less depends on your taste. Otherwise the boiled chicken wings are very blend.
